Community Bus
In October, 2020, we were delighted to hear that Transdev agreed to gift us a double decker bus, which had been retired from service due to engine trouble. Local firm, Macadams arranged for the transportation and siting of the bus onto sleepers on our site and it arrived to much excitement in December, 2020. Then began the long and laborious task of stripping out the seats, handrails, etc. The ultimate plan for the bus is for it to be re-purposed for community use. There will be tables and seats upstairs to allow it to be used as classroom or meeting space and the downstairs will incorporate cooking facilities and seating areas to enable us to re-commence with our extensive programme of training and support for Parents.
We are busy trying to raise funds to enable us to make the various improvements and will keep you posted of our progress.
